When we walk through the door of his studio on Rue Tourlaque, we don't expect to find a place that tells so much about the world.
I am not a specialist in the art of painting, and I am always amazed when a visual artist simply captures in a few strokes a photograph of this world. Henri Landier is one of them. He manages to capture the essence of a moment and transmit it to us. I am not surprised that he has a lifelong passion for the show. His paintings are alive, inviting us to travel through landscapes, but also through people.

After discovering the butoh dancers, the faces of Diane Dufresne or Branlo, an anthology clown, it seemed obvious to me to propose that they come and resonate on the walls of a performance hall.

Thus, after having made them run down the hill, the Rutebeuf, Clichy's municipal theatre and cinema, is their home as I try to make it the home of artists open to the city. We therefore welcome with open arms this world of performance on canvas, as an invitation to vibrate together. It is with pleasure that we propose to the public to plunge into this universe that Henri Landier so passionately traversed, before leaving for other journeys that the stage or the cinema screen will offer us.
